Introduction

Welcome to MECO Training!

Thank you for embarking on this journey to master the intricacies of the marine electrical system, I am your personal tutor, here to guide you in understanding, identifying, and resolving on board electrical issues.

Acquiring knowledge about the proper wiring of yachts and small craft is essential. Throughout this course, you will not only learn to recognise specific deficiencies but also gain insights into the best practices for electrical safety. Our curriculum aligns with international standards such as the International Standards Organisation (ISO), Recreational Craft Directive (RCD), British Marine Electrical Engineers Association (BMEEA), American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC), and the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA).

This course is designed to be inclusive, welcoming beginners with no prerequisite knowledge. The Level 1 course initiates with fundamental concepts, and as many learners may already be familiar with these basics, the initial sections are offered as free previews.

I trust you will find great value in this course, and I encourage you to utilise the comment boxes for any questions that may arise.
